How Do I Choose Long-Range UHF RFID Tags for Asset Tracking?

Start with what you're tagging and how you'll scan it. That helps us narrow down the right surface, size and reading distance for your job.

  • If You Need a Visible Inventory ID: Look at 9662, H47U, 5030F or 6535 for a printable label that also gives you UHF identification.
  • If the Asset Is Metal or Gets Wet: PF6025 and PF7030 provide on-metal label options. For suitable non-metal surfaces exposed to moisture, look at PET7018 or PET4015.
  • If Space Is Tight: Look at H2515, J41 or M30. J41 is 15 mm in diameter; H2515 gives you a printable face.
  • If Attachment or Heat Is the Main Concern: Consider a cable-tie format for a suitable tie point, a tire tag for tire identification, or a PCB tag when equipment passes through a heated process.

Reading distance depends on your reader and environment, so aim for reliable reads where you'll actually scan the assets. If you'd like to try a few formats with your own equipment, feel free to request a free UHF sample pack and tell us what you're tracking.
