HOW TO USE THE SOFTWARE

Read Data on Card

Plug the reader in your computer via USB.

Select the data type you'd like to see.

Click on Read button.

Then swipe your card as instructed on screen.

Copy Data on Magnetic Stripes

Click on Read button.

Swipe the card as instructed. You will see data shown in track 1, 2 or 3.

Then click on Copy button.

Then swipe your card as instructed on screen.

Data will be copied onto the new card you just swiped.

Choose Which Track to Write Data

Plug the reader in your computer via USB.

Select the data type you'd like to write.

Input the data you'd like to write in the respective field.

Click on Write button.

Then swipe your card as instructed on screen

Erase Existing Data Off Tracks

Click on Erase button.

Select the track you'd like to erase. Click OK.

Then swipe your card as instructed on screen.

You'll see a success message of data erased.

You Might Be Wondering

Can it rewrite track 1, 2, 3 of magnetic stripes?

Yes. MSR909 can read and write track 1, 2, 3 of credit cards.

Can I move the magnetic data from credit card A to credit card B (not IC data), and then use credit card B to make purchases in a magnetic pay environment?

Yes, it's possible. For example, it's possible to transfer the data from a supermarket club card to a Visa card, and it takes only two seconds. The transfer process is so fast that it's almost shocking. I didn't try to make any purchases, but I assume it's possible since the transferred information will appear when you swipe the card again.

Can it program loyalty cards or gift cards?

MSR909 credit card reader writer can duplicate what is on a magnetic stripe. I tested it with a Visa card, store loyalty program card, and gift cards, and was able to copy them with no issues.

Does it work on macOS?

No it doesn’t. MSR909 work only with Windows.

Can it encode a card with a chip?

No, it can’t. MSR909 only works with the standard magnetic stripe cards.

Does it read the cards’ PIN as well?

The MSR909 can read the tracks on a magnetic stripe. But the PIN is encrypted and will not be displayed in a clear manner, unless it is a test card for software development purposes. In that case, you will have access to the PIN, but it will not be a real card. Copying real cards is illegal.

In total, including the development fee and unit costs, our clients typically save 20% on material costs compared to their previous supplier.

How long does the development process takes?

It usually takes 4 weeks to develop the sample module with your required function from scratch. Depending on the functions you requested, it may end up shorter or longer.

After the development is done, we’ll send you the sample module to test compatibility. We’ll work with you till it’s 100% working with your systems before the batch production.

How can I make sure the custom readers work in compatible with our systems or equipments?

We know compatibility can be a concern when purchasing a large batch of readers. When we’re done developing the prototype, we’ll send you a sample first to test compatibility.
