It supports SLE4442 chip cards, EMV smart chip cards, CPU chip cards, magnetic stripe cards, Mifare 13.56Mhz cards, and contact PSAM cards.

Can MSR160 read and write magnetic stripe cards?
Yes, MSR160 can read track 1, 2, 3 of magnetic credit cards, but it can NOT write.
Can MSR160 read and write the NFC Mifare cards?
Yes, MSR160 is a RFID reader writer and can read and write 13.56Mhz Mifare cards by using our demo software. More details will be included in our user manual upon purchase.
Can MSR160 read and write chip cards?
Yes, MSR160 supports reading and writing ISO7816 contact IC cards.
Does MSR160 support high or low-coercivity cards?
Yes, MSR160 supports both HiCo and LoCo cards (300~4000 oe)
Does it work with Windows?
Yes, our device software only works with Windows and Android systems.
Does it work with the new iPad Pros?
Yes. MSR160 can read cards’ data as a keyboard emulator on iPads, but can NOT write. Our device software supports Windows and Android systems.
Can I develop bank cards with MSR160?
Yes, only if you have APDU command of the bank cards. MSR160 supports custom development for bank cards with SDK softward download available. You need to acquire APDU commands yourself and we can't provide them for you.
Do you have a full version of the software to copy card information?
NO. We just have the demo software.
Does it read the card’s PIN code as well?
No. The pin on the magnetic stripe is encrypted and will not show directly. You can only see the PIN of a TEST card for software development use. Copy bank cards is illegal.
Can it be recharged?
It can be charged by USB power once you plug in a USB port. It doesn't need external power supply.
Does my computer need wifi to work?
No. You just need to plug the reader in through USB and install the demo software. No wifi is needed.
Where can I get the SDK and demo software download?
The link to download SDK and demo software will be provided in the package and emailed to you when MSR160 is purchased and delivered. Whatsapp us if you couldn't find it.
Is MSR160 the same as YL160?
Yes. MSR160 4-in-1 RFID Reader Writer is an updated version of YL160 and functions the same as YL160.
