Ultra Small UHF RFID Tags

Our ultra small UHF RFID tags add electronic identification where label space is limited, with formats as compact as 15 mm in diameter. They use EPC Class 1 Gen 2 (ISO/IEC 18000-63, formerly ISO/IEC 18000-6C), with NXP UCODE 8, UCODE 9 or UCODE 9xe chips depending on the product configuration. How Do I Choose Ultra Small UHF RFID Tags for Small Items?

If you're tagging a small item, measure the space you can use and decide whether you also need a visible ID.

  • For a Small Round Space: J41 is 15 mm in diameter and has a reference read range of 1 m, depending on your reader and environment.
  • For Printed or Handwritten IDs: H2515 gives you a printable, markable 25 × 15 mm label, with a reference read range of 3 m depending on your reader and environment.
  • When You Don't Need a Printable Face: M30 is another compact adhesive wet inlay, with a reference read range of 3 m depending on your reader and environment. Neither M30 nor J41 has a printable or markable face.

If you'd like to check the fit and reading distance on your own small items, feel free to request a free UHF sample pack. Tell us what you're tagging and how far away you'll scan it, and we can help you narrow down the options.
