No, an RFID inlay doesn't always have a printable face. The inlay is the chip and antenna assembly; a finished printable label adds a surface for your text or graphics. If you need printed information, we'd check the finished label construction with you.

Yes, you can put EPC numbers, serial numbers and barcodes on one label when the layout fits and your printer supports the media. Your label software controls the printed information. If the printed EPC needs to match the chip, configure the encoding too and read back a sample to check the match.

Yes, you can mark our 9662, H47U, 5030F and 6535 labels by hand. That's useful when you need to add a quick visible note without printing. Writing on the surface won't change the EPC or other data stored in the chip.

Yes, you can print and encode a different EPC on each label with a compatible UHF RFID printing system. Your software needs to send the intended value to both the print layout and the encoder. We'd check a sample by reading the chip back and comparing it with the printed number.

Yes, printable on-metal labels need their own printer compatibility check. Our PF6025 and PF7030 labels are 1.2 mm thick, which is thicker than usual RFID inlays, so some regular UHF printers may not support them. You'll need a printer that specifically supports thicker on-metal RFID media and can encode the tags correctly. Share your printer model with us, and we'll help you check whether it suits the labels you want to use.

Each printable UHF RFID label comes with a unique Tag Identifier (TID) programmed at the chip factory, and the TID is normally read-only. The Electronic Product Code (EPC) is a separate writable ID that your tracking system can use for each item.

TagtixRFID can pre-encode your approved EPC values before shipment, or you can program the EPC yourself with a compatible UHF RFID printer/encoder. Writing an EPC does not replace the factory TID.
