Printable UHF RFID Labels & Inlays

Our printable UHF RFID labels let you add visible EPC numbers, serial numbers or handwritten notes alongside electronic identification. They use EPC Class 1 Gen 2 (ISO/IEC 18000-63, formerly ISO/IEC 18000-6C). Chip configurations include NXP UCODE 8, UCODE 9, UCODE 9xe, FM13UF0051E and Alien H10, depending on the product; printing visible text and encoding the chip are separate operations.

Can I Print EPC and Serial Numbers on UHF RFID Labels?

Start with the information you want people to see, then choose a label that gives it enough space.

For a Long, Narrow Layout: 9662 gives you a 73 × 20 mm label for your printed layout.
For a Square Layout: H47U measures 50 × 50 mm if that shape fits your asset and design better.
For a Rectangular Layout: 5030F measures 54 × 34 mm, while 6535 measures 65 × 35 mm. All four options can be printed or marked by hand.

Can I Print My Own UHF RFID Labels?

Yes, you can print your own UHF RFID labels with a printer that supports the supplied label media. If you also want to write an EPC into the chip, you'll need UHF RFID encoding capability. Share your printer model with us and we'll help you check those two requirements.

Is Every RFID Inlay a Printable Label?

No, an RFID inlay doesn't always have a printable face. The inlay is the chip and antenna assembly; a finished printable label adds a surface for your text or graphics. If you need printed information, we'd check the finished label construction with you.

Can I Print EPC Numbers, Serial Numbers and Barcodes on One Label?

Yes, you can put EPC numbers, serial numbers and barcodes on one label when the layout fits and your printer supports the media. Your label software controls the printed information. If the printed EPC needs to match the chip, configure the encoding too and read back a sample to check the match.

Can I Write on These RFID Labels With a Marker?

Yes, you can mark our 9662, H47U, 5030F and 6535 labels by hand. That's useful when you need to add a quick visible note without printing. Writing on the surface won't change the EPC or other data stored in the chip.

Will These Labels Work With Any UHF RFID Printer?

No, UHF RFID support alone doesn't mean a printer will accept every label. We also need to check the label size, supplied roll or sheet format, material and encoding position. Send us your printer model so we can help you work through the fit before you run a batch.

Can I Print and Encode a Different EPC on Every Label?

Yes, you can print and encode a different EPC on each label with a compatible UHF RFID printing system. Your software needs to send the intended value to both the print layout and the encoder. We'd check a sample by reading the chip back and comparing it with the printed number.

Do Printable On-Metal Labels Need Separate Printer Guidance?

Yes, printable on-metal labels need their own printer compatibility check. Our PF6025 and PF7030 labels are 1.2 mm thick, which is thicker than usual RFID inlays, so some regular UHF printers may not support them. You'll need a printer that specifically supports thicker on-metal RFID media and can encode the tags correctly. Share your printer model with us, and we'll help you check whether it suits the labels you want to use.
