How People Are Enjoying Giving Microchips Themselves

Easy to use. Great value

They are easy to insert, even in my 2 little dogs, they did not even flinch.

Overall great value and they get the job done.

Saved so much money from this.

Each chip is preloaded into a syringe with the number code printed on stickers in each syringe packet. It's worth noting that boy animals have tougher neck skin so you have to push hard to get the needle in. But other than that it was easy to implant each. I registered my pets on freepetchipregistry.com which is totally free.

Loved it.

Easily read by universal readers, the stickers mean I can put the barcode on all the forms I send home with my puppies family when they adopt one of my babies.

Insertion was simple.

Rather petite cat meowed, but didn't freak out or hide for the rest of the day, so I'm inclined to think she was mostly bothered by me grabbing her and the initial prick of the needle. Cutting her nails results in more drama! :)

Registration on freepetchipregistry.com was a breeze. Kept some stickers (8 are supplied) for my records. Sent some to our vet for the cat's records. Done!

Easy to use

I was a bit apprehensive at first but implanting the chip could not have been easier. I have a small 4 year old Maltese/Yorkie mix and a 3 month old kitten. After watching some tutorials on YouTube and reading a few forums I felt confident enough to inject the chips myself. I gave my dog a treat to snack on while I prepared to inject her and she didn't even notice when the chip went in!

Rather than registering with BuddyID (which, admittedly, has some cool features given the additional fees) you can register your chip for free at foundanimals.org or freepetchipregistry.com. You can then test to make sure the registry is working by inputting the chip number into petmicrochiplookup.org

Very Cheap

I enjoy giving my own dogs microchips. When you go somewhere else it’ll cost you $20 and with a vet double that.

Love them!!!

Great size and very easy to use! The chips are just as small as a grain of rice. I will definitely be buying again! Great for animal rescues. They are all lubed and sterilized.

Great value for the money

We microchip each of the large puppies we breed before they go to their new homes. The size of the needle is large and intimidating at first. While someone holds the puppy I pull up the skin on the back of the neck, clean and then wiggle it as I insert the needle to inject the microchip. The expiration date on the microchip stickers is for the sterility of the package and NOT in reference to the microchip itself expiring as they don't expire.

Easy to use and consistently reliable

We are a high volume Spay and Neuter facility in Texas. We've used these microchips for almost all of the animals we have treated - they are easy to use and reliable.
